TAKE. is a screen recording application for macOS developed by The Freequency. We are committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what data TAKE. accesses and how it is handled.

Data Collection

TAKE. does not collect, transmit, or store any personal data. The app operates entirely on your device. No analytics, telemetry, crash reports, or usage data are sent to any server.

Screen, Camera, and Microphone Access

TAKE. requests access to your screen (via Screen Recording permission), camera, and microphone solely to provide its recording functionality. All captured audio and video data remains on your device in the location you choose. No recordings are uploaded, shared, or transmitted.

Local Storage

TAKE. stores user preferences (theme, selected devices, output folder, window position) locally using macOS UserDefaults. These preferences never leave your device.

Third-Party Services

TAKE. does not integrate with any third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking services. There are no third-party SDKs or frameworks that collect data.

Children's Privacy

TAKE. does not knowingly collect any information from children under 13.
